Today volunteering is recognized as an essential component of community development. Through its volunteer facilitation program, bEARN encourages young people to play a true and active role in a variety of development activities with the spirit of volunteerism. bEARN motivates people from all walks of life to volunteer by promoting the importance of voluntary services to the society.
- To raise public awareness of the benefits and opportunities of the volunteer movement.
- To initiate projects for volunteer participation.
- To enhance the number of volunteers.
- To recognize and value the contribution that volunteerism brings to organisations.
- To link volunteers by networking with other youth organisations and through the volunteer database.
